Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Basalt Hot Stone Full Body Massage.

Basalt hot stone massage is safe for many clients but not everyone. Inform your therapist of medical conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, varicose veins, open wounds, or recent surgery. We’ll modify or recommend alternatives if needed.

Sessions commonly run 60 to 90 minutes, including consultation and stone warming. Treatment covers full body work with aromatherapy. Please arrive early for intake so your session can begin promptly and without rush.

Mild soreness or tenderness can occur as deep tension releases, especially after intense work. Stay hydrated, rest, and use gentle stretching or heat packs if needed. If discomfort persists, contact us for follow-up care recommendations.

We generally avoid hot stone therapy in the first trimester and adapt treatments later in pregnancy. A modified, side-lying session without direct heated stones may be possible with your OB approval. Always disclose pregnancy when booking.

Wear whatever makes you comfortable; most clients undress to their comfort level and are draped throughout the session. Underwear is fine if preferred. Remove jewelry and avoid heavy lotions before arrival for best results.

We heat stones in a professional electric warmer with strict temperature controls. Therapists test each stone before placement, use towels or oils as barriers, and sanitize stones between clients to ensure safety and comfort.
