We're happy to inform you that we are now Proud VA CommunityCare Provider. If you’re dealing with chronic pain, fibromyalgia, stress, or post-service injuries, massage therapy can make a difference.

Veterans can receive massage therapy covered through the VA Community Care Program with a physician referral, at no cost to you.

Here’s how:

A.) Contact your VA provider or log into My HealtheVet.

Confirm Your Eligibility
You must be enrolled in VA health care.
Eligibility for VA Community Care is based on your specific health needs and circumstances (such as distance from a VA facility, appointment wait times, or clinical requirements).

** If you’re unsure, contact your VA primary care provider or the VA Community Care office to ask if you qualify. **

B.) Request a referral for massage therapy with The Mind Body Experience or NPI provider #

Talk to Your VA Provider
Schedule an appointment with your VA primary care provider or relevant specialist.
Discuss your health concerns and let them know you’re interested in Medical Massage Therapy as part of your treatment plan.
Request a referral specifically for “Medical Massage Therapy at The Mind Body Experience, Raeford, NC location ”

Provider Submits Referral
Your VA provider will determine if massage therapy is medically necessary and, if so, submit a referral request to the VA Community Care office.
Ask your provider to include The Mind Body Experience as your preferred provider in the referral.

C.) Once approved, the VA authorizes a set number of visits (often up to 12 per referral).

Wait for VA Approval & Scheduling
Once the referral is approved, the VA Community Care office or a third-party administrator (such as Optum or TriWest) will contact you.
They will confirm your eligibility, explain your benefits, and help schedule your massage therapy appointments with us. They will send a fax to me
